Knitted and de-knitted. Manufacturing machine made knits challenge us to create new patterns and use old patterns in a new way, with unconventional materials and colours. Still, not every great idea with threads is meant to become knitted works, knitting machinery has its boundaries. Fortunately unsuccessful experiments can also be recycled. Deconstructed material retains a form of the stitch even though there is no longer a linkage. Melting plastic attaches almost any type of material creating a partly laminated surface.
