Simple, light and fascinating. Freeform lines creating organic patterns on the surface. Not too much color, the lines are what makes the design so interesting.

The first impression

Possibilities are mind blowing! We just have to find out how to make something good out of them. At least a different way of drafting is found trough editing material instead of sketching on a paper. We discover new ways of working the material such as melting plastic bags and burning synthetic fabrics.

Hi! We are Finnish textile design students from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.

As a part of our project with experimental textiles we decided to write this blog. We want to share our visions and discoveries of the experiments with all of you. Come and have a look as we develope our ideas, experiment, create and produce different surfaces from recycled materials.

Through these experiments we create new and innovative acoustic panels, laptop bags and a deeper understanding of materials.
